Reporting to the Vice President, Construction, the Director, Construction is responsible for supervising various aspects of the overall construction function including construction management, planning and scheduling, project execution, and cost management. The primary objective is to review, execute, and approve construction projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities include connecting with stakeholders to develop timelines and project deliverables, identifying project pinch points to avoid delays, coordinating expectations with vendors and internal resources, securing internal resources to keep projects on schedule, developing project execution plans for 3rd party construction, reviewing plans and specifications, confirming scope of work accuracy, defining project purpose and scope, scheduling and coordinating contractors, evaluating change orders, providing status reports, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and invoices, attending project meetings, inspecting construction properties, maintaining communication with project teams and leadership, managing construction budgets, evaluating contractor performance, collaborating with business unit leaders for budgeting, tracking contracts and change orders, interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction, collaborating with procurement, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, supervise direct reports, and deliver professional communications. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, 10+ years of construction experience, supervisory experience, strong communication and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and adaptability. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, renewables experience, and energy industry experience. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Salary range across U.S. locations is $152,000 - $228,000 USD annually.
