Reporting to the Manager of Competitive Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for digital marketing strategy, development, and execution. Utilizing best practices in search, display, social advertising and cognizant of the user experience online and SEO strategies, this role contributes to the overall success of the Marketing team, ensuring team KPIs are met and contributing to the success of the Customer Solutions team. Focus areas are Easymax brand awareness, retention and acquisition in the context of retail electricity and natural gas plans in Alberta.
Major Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute strategic customized marketing plans across platforms including DV360, Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, Meta, and YouTube adapting for different audiences and market dynamics.
•Monitor daily campaign performance to ensure performance, conversions, and ROAS. Lead analysis, A/B testing and optimization recommendations and provide weekly campaign reporting using GA4 and platform reporting tools. Document campaign setups and processes.
•Set up tracking in Google Tag Manager for accurate and comprehensive campaign reporting. Perform quality assurance checks on ad tags and tracking pixels.
•Proficient management of paid search campaigns including keyword research to identify audiences, targeting, bidding strategies and ad copy development. Optimize keywords and bid management. Continuously test and enhance ads.
•Manage a full funnel digital media mix in collaboration with internal team members and external partners to ensure alignment across omni-channel campaigns. Participate in CX Journey Mapping to identify new digital marketing opportunities. Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities or threats.
•Manage digital advertising budget and forecast digital marketing performance metrics.
•Elevate the customer experience online by identifying customer needs and making improvements to the Electricity, Natural Gas, Solar, and My Account sections of the website in collaboration with Customer Care, Customer Solutions, Marketing, UX, and IT team members.
•Stay current on industry trends, platform updates, and digital marketing best practices.
•Mentor other team members to enhance their digital marketing knowledge.
Education Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline such as Marketing, Business or Communications.
•Google and Meta certifications.
•Hootsuite or Sprout Social certifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
•5+ years of digital marketing experience responsible for the creation and implementation of search, display and paid social campaigns, analytics, testing, optimization and reporting.
•Proficiency with DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP).
•Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio.
•Proficiency with Meta Business and YouTube Ads.
•Experience with SEMRush is considered an asset.
•Understands tracking (pixels, UTM parameters) and campaign QA.
•Familiar with SEO best practices.
•Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
•Competency with Power Point, Word, Teams and Outlook.

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
