About This Job

Company Overview Welcome to CNOOC International. We are a global energy company and subsidiary of CNOOC Limited with a vision of delivering safe, sustainable energy for all.

CNOOC International, the international division of CNOOC Limited, is a global energy company with operations in Asia, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe. Our successful growth as an upstream oil and gas producer has been achieved by consistently finding and developing world-class assets.

Our business is focused on safely exploring and producing from conventional offshore, unconventional and oil sands assets. As part of the CNOOC Group of companies, which spans the entire energy supply chain, our size and capability create a competitive advantage that ensures we deliver long-term value.

CNOOC International is currently engaged in over 44 projects in 22 countries and produces ~600,000 barrels of oil per day from our international assets.

In North America, we produce over 180,000 barrels of oil per day (gross) from a diverse collection of high-quality assets located in both Canada and the United States.

In Canada, CNOOC International has ~300,000 acres in Athabasca Oil Sands region with our operated SAGD and Partial Upgrading project at Long Lake, with production capacity of 85,000 barrels of bitumen a day, located in Northern Alberta just south of Fort McMurray. We also have interest in several other oil sands projects, including interests in a producing SAGD project at Hangingstone (operated by Greenfire Resources Operating Corporation) and in Syncrude’s oil sands mining upgrading facility. In addition to our Canadian oil sands business, we have ~300,000 acres of shale gas leases in Northeast British Columbia, an operated natural gas power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in Southern Alberta. With offices at all operated asset field locations and in Houston, Calgary is the regional management center for all North American Operations.

In the United States, CNOOC International holds a non-operated working interest in approximately 143,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford (South Texas) and 77,000 net acres in the Powder River Basin (Wyoming). These are unconventional shale oil and gas assets. Most of our production is operated by partners, including INEOS Energy US Onshore, Crescent Energy, Devon Energy, and Continental Resources.
