The Deputy Director of Corporate Security is responsible for assisting the Director, Corporate Security with protecting classified data, Special Nuclear Material of Moderate Strategic Significance, Controlled Unclassified Information and Company Proprietary Information. This position will support Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) and subsidiaries including American Centrifuge Operating (ACO) sites maintain compliance with all aspects of Safeguards and Security requirements defined in 32 CFR 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) rules and Department of Energy (DOE) Orders required for the possession of classified information and special nuclear material. Serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO). Provide subject matter expert (SME) analysis for current and future site builds, assets and targets.
- Assist in developing multi-site procedures to ensure protection of classified data, controlled unclassified information and company propriety information is protected against unauthorized access or control.
- Ensure compliance with Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) – 3.
- Ensure compliance with SEAD – 4.
- Serve as the ITPSO in accordance with the NISPOM.
- Interact with the Outside Security Monitor to ensure compliance with Foreign Ownership Control or Interest (FOCI) mitigation measures are implemented.
- Conduct Security Risk Assessments as necessary using industry best practices. Document the results and provide to Management.
- Develop and conduct training on security related topics.
- Develop and/or oversee a performance assurance program plan.
- Identify and document issues. Take immediate actions to re-establish compliance, develop corrective action plans, and institute corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Develop and brief staffing studies for deployment of resources.
- Preform management assessments and self-assessments of established programs in accordance with procedures.
- Maintain working relationships with government Counterintelligence entities and implement appropriate countermeasure methodologies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement.
- Qualify as a derivative classifier, UCNI reviewing official and Export Control Information Reviewer
- Provide direction and guidance to Site Security Managers and FSOs.
- Provide or arrange for relevant continuous education for security staff.
- Conduct change evaluations on documents involved changes to licensing documents
- Review and provide feedback to Security Mangers on security plans.
- Attend and assist with NRC inspections at all sites as necessary.
- Assist with the development, review, or approval of Centrus/ACO documents.
- Obtain and maintain a “Q” security clearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position has the authority and broad latitude to develop and direct the implementation of measures to protect special nuclear material and classified data across the enterprise.
- This position has the authority to provide leadership, planning, and direction of activities necessary to conduct business to meet regulatory requirements and to support corporate mission.
- Incumbent has responsibility and authority to recommend change in employment status, including but not limited to hiring, discipline, promotions, and termination for persons with access to classified data.
- Broad latitude to manage and direct personnel in a manner determined necessary to meet corporate goals and milestones.
- Assists in developing Security budget resources, materials, and expenses, as required.
- Has the authority to propose, develop and/or implement new procedures or revise existing procedures as necessary to fulfill/meet mission objectives within the bounds of the regulator (i.e., NRC or DOE).

We'd love to hear from Candidates with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security, Engineering, or Physical Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Seven (7) years experience in a management position or leadership position
- Three (3) years experience conducting management/self-assessments
- Three (3) years experience writing policy, procedures or technical documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Q Clearance or an ability to obtain a Q Clearance is a requirement of the position

This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
