We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities. The Day Porter will be responsible for various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas are safe, clean, and presentable.

Duties

Responsibilities

•

Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting, mopping as needed.

•

Perform maintenance and light repairs

•

Perform landscaping on the grounds as needed

•

Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)

•

Undertake light installation or furniture moves

•

Repair equipment or appliances

•

Perform computer related functions like data entry and inventory control

•

Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)

•

Identify and report the need for major repairs

•

Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming in designated areas.

•

Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

•

Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.

•

Assist with custodial tasks in both commercial and industrial settings as needed.

•

Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

•

Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the facility.

•

Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all duties.

Requirements

•

Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred.

•

Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus.

•

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

•

Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

•

Good physical stamina; must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

•

Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing is advantageous.

•

A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and order in all assigned areas.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
