Data Analytics Engineer provides technical data analysis to find, track and communicate operational and market trends for the ERCOT System. Queries, compiles and develops visualizations of ERCOT data and develops presentations of various analyses. Operational trends can relate to, but is not limited to: generation output or outages, forecasts, demand response, resource performance or other elements of the ERCOT system at various times of day or seasons of the year. Supports the Event Analysis team that conducts analysis on the performance of the transmission system and Generation Resources during ERCOT power system events. This position requires the Data Analytics Engineer to work independently, interact professionally with internal and external personnel of various position levels from individual contributors to senior management, meet deadlines, and work well within a team environment.

EDUCATION* Bachelor's Degree: Engineering or related field (Required)
CERTIFICATION* Data Analytics related certification(s) preferred but not required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE* Data analysis and data visualization experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE* Familiarity with the electric utility industry
Salary and level will be based on overall experience as determined by ERCOT. WORK LOCATION – Taylor, TX:* Employees will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at minimum 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on the business needs as determined by management
