The Opportunity

Our Regional Pipeline Operations team is looking to add an experienced Damage Prevention / Pipeline Technician to the team in Geraldton, ON. In this role you will be expected to answer and complete Ontario 1 Call locates that are submitted to TCE and respond to any unauthorized crossings and/or encroachments. You will also learn to operate, maintain, test, and inspect our natural gas pipeline, valves and associated pipeline building assemblies in a manner which meets operational needs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will provide oversight for and execute our organization’s pipeline operations and maintenance program, damage prevention program as well as provide support to the transfer compressor operation. This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills.

The role is overtime eligible and will be part of an on-call rotating schedule in which you will be subject to call-out for emergency response. The regular work schedule will be:

Week 1: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is an 8-hour day* Week 2: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is a Regular Day Off (RDO)*
