SYCK Millwork is an AWIQCP Certified Millwork company specializing in large commercial millwork projects and Retail Fixture rollouts across the United States. Founded in 2015, the company has grown to over $6 Million in Annual Sales, 25 employees, and 15000sq/ft of modern production facilities in Panama city beach and 5000 sq feet in Tallahassee.
Our specialties include the manufacturing and installation of finished wood and plastic laminate-clad millwork, wall paneling, casework, standing and running trim, fixtures, in-house solid surface fabrication and in-house staining and finishing.
As we have grown and scope of work, so too has our attention to detail and service to our customers. For this reason, we continue to succeed in landing large contracts for repeat customers, such as the Bay County Courthouse project with Culpepper Construction worth over $1.2 Million in millwork, Renegade student Housing in Tallahassee and Eglin Federal Credit Unions Corporate offices and Branches. Building with over $3 Million in millwork already in 2023 With over 75% of our work coming from repeat customers, we continue to focus on keeping these customers happy throughout each project we undertake.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SYCK MILLWORK EMPLOYEE:
As a SYCK MILLWORK employee, you play an essential role in helping us create exceptional products and complete our many work orders on time. We continue to grow as a respected company because we have been able to find and retain skilled and reliable craft workers like you. You are serious about your job and take pride in your work.
You read drawings/cut lists and use a variety of techniques to assemble or finish components into our final perfected products. As part of the process, you may utilize a variety of hand tools or use your finish skills to apply pigmented dye stains, solid color or water-based lacquers, and poly finishes. You may also set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws, molders, and shapers to cut and shape parts from wood stock. You may use a variety of joinery techniques including dowels, pocket screws, and biscuits.
You monitor inventory transactions such as goods received and goods issued to ensure that they are on-time and accurate. You also maintain a clean and safe work environment. You are flexible and willing to help wherever you are needed. You are a team player who receives feedback professionally and is always willing to help or mentor others. Your positive can-do attitude makes you a pleasure to work with. You love working with your hands and appreciate the feel and smell of quality wood. You feel accomplished as your skills as a craftsperson continue to grow.
At least one year of experience and familiarity with the different phases of woodwork assembly or finishing processes is preferred, but we can train the right person. Day or Second Shift Hours Available: Days Shift is Monday thru Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Second Shift is Monday thru Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
