: Curative Lead
Location:

The Curative Lead will resolve title issues, communicate to the team, and demonstrate leadership qualities. The Curative Lead will be responsible for leading a team to address and rectify title defects, ensuring a clear and marketable title for real estate transactions.
As a dynamic and resourceful professional, we will rely on you to perform the following duties:
- Oversee the title curative process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established timelines.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities among team members based on their strengths and expertise.
- Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met and adhered to.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and coaching.
- Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tasks.
- Guide and support a team in the production of curative solutions, offering subject matter expertise on relevant procedures and systems.
- Monitor industry regulations and legal mandates concerning title closing. Ensure strict adherence to these standards in all transactions and promptly resolve any compliance issues that may arise.
- Read and interpret documents (e.g., underwriting guideline matrix, lender’s instructions, trust agreements, purchase contracts, title commitment, affidavit and legal documents etc.).
- Serve as the escalation point for challenges and discrepancies arising during the closing process. Address inquiries from clients, borrowers, and agents professionally and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits to uphold high standards of performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide updates to supervisors on team performance, challenges, and improvements needed.
- Work closely with internal parties to streamline the process and ensure timely resolution of title issues.
- Update daily assigned “Work in Progress” reports to ensure files are reviewed, cleared, and the client updated in a timely manner consistent with established standards for service and quality.
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at maintaining professional interactions with all parties to efficiently resolve issues and provide transaction status updates.
- Directly communicate with supervisors to escalate items that require attention at the next level.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of related experience in mortgage lending operations.- Experience with RamQuest closing operations system is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and audiences.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- High-level of attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Project coordination, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
