What you’ll do

- Supervise daily cultivation activities, ensuring adherence to best practices in plant care and animal husbandry.

- Operate and maintain various types of farm machinery, including forklifts and heavy equipment, to support cultivation efforts.

- Perform equipment repairs and routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Implement irrigation systems effectively to support plant growth while monitoring water usage for efficiency.

- Conduct regular inspections of crops and animals, addressing any health or growth issues promptly.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to assist with planting, harvesting, and general maintenance tasks.

- Engage in heavy lifting as needed during planting and harvesting seasons, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative strategies for improving crop yields and overall farm productivity.

Basic qualifications

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

- Familiarity with horticulture practices, including growing experience in greenhouse settings.

- Proficient in basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating crop yields.

Preferred qualifications

- Previous supervising experience within an agricultural or farming environment.

- Hands-on experience with animal care, handling, and husbandry practices.

- Welding skills for minor repairs on farm equipment would be advantageous.

- Experience operating heavy machinery safely within a farming context.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
