The Crib Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and spare parts used in the production of automotive suspension components, including coil springs, stabilizer bars, torsion bars, and stabilizer links. This role ensures that production and maintenance teams have timely access to the correct parts and tools to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Receive, inspect, and store tools, spare parts, and equipment in the tool crib.
- Issue tools and parts to maintenance and production personnel as requested.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of tools, parts, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate requisitions for replenishment.
- Ensure all items are stored in an organized and safe manner.
- Track usage, wear, and return of tools; arrange for repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and related reporting.
- Maintain clean and orderly crib area to comply with safety and quality standards.
- Support production by ensuring availability of critical spare parts for suspension component manufacturing equipment.
- Previous experience in tool crib, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive manufacturing parts and equipment a plus.
- Ability to use inventory management systems and basic computer applications (preferred)
