- A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. - 1+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, ideally in a commodities trading or energy environment.
- Familiarity with trading instruments, structured transactions, and risk systems (e.g., Openlink, Endur) is a plus.
- A passion for clean energy and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
- Clear communicator with the ability to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Strong analytical & financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel is a must.
- Evaluate and monitor the creditworthiness and of trading and lending counterparties across power markets.
- Analyze financial statements, exposure profiles, and collateral structures to set credit limits and recommend risk mitigants.
- Provide real-time support to traders on credit risk implications of deals and market events.
- Monitor covenant compliance, margining, and exposure thresholds; escalate and act on breaches.
- Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to structure credit terms in trading agreements (e.g., ISDA, NAESB).
- Contribute to the development of credit risk models, dashboards, and internal reporting tools.
- Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting counterparty risk.
