- Responsible for corrosion control an associated compliance of catholically protected pipelines.
- Ability to perform, analyze, document, corrosion tests, including but not limited to test station surveys, bond surveys, interference tests, and atmospheric inspections.
- Proactively conduct pipe-to-soil potential surveys, casing-to-soil readings, rectifier and bond readings.
- Communicate with other technicians for assistance in effecting repairs when applicable Responsible for directing work of third party contractors.
- Monitors the job site for safety and quality of the work.
- Ability to stop a project if unsafe and/or not completing the project as planned or bid.
- Maintain records in compliance with guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies.
- A high school diploma with at least one to two (1-2) years of cathodic protection experience; and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of different pipeline coatings, close-interval surveys, soil resistively measurements, current requirement testing, ground bed design and A/C mitigation.
- NACE Cathodic Protection Level 1.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
