An HVAC Controls Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Building Automation System (BAS) submittal packages and owner’s manuals. Key duties include creating sequences of operation, control system layouts, and technical documentation to ensure proper system functionality. This role involves close collaboration with sales teams and project managers to align designs with project requirements and client needs. Strong technical expertise in HVAC controls, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling, typically with 8-hour shifts during office hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM).
- Design DDC control panels, wiring schematics, and system interfaces to control building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Select control system products and developing project bill of materials.
- Develop electrical installation wiring diagrams.
- Assist Project Managers and Control Technicians with system sequence documentation, submittal manuals, and owner’s manuals.
- Provide documentation support for customers and contractors.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Controls Technicians, and the Inventory Manager as necessary.
- Review contract plans, specifications, proposals, and budgets with Project Managers.
- Provide floorplan graphics for customer’s user interface.

- A Valid Driver’s License
- Ability To Pass a Background Check- 1+ years of hands-on industry experience (HVAC, Electrical, PLC) is preferred
- 2-year degree in HVAC, Electrical, Drafting, or Engineering preferred
- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Experience
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Adobe Illustrator
