About the Role
As part of the Control team, you will participate in the conceptual through detail design, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products. In this role you will be assisting in the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing a great service to existing clients and coordinating project requirements with various team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Configuration of the DCS, SCS and other elements of the control system per the control narrative, shut down key, alarm and set points list, and other key documents.
•Participation in the factory acceptance testing (FAT) of the control system configuration and closing of any action items resulting from the FAT prior to start of commissioning.
•Integrate into the commissioning & start up (CSU) team for completion of on-site work.
•Participation in commissioning activities, site acceptance testing (SAT), and start up.
•Reporting of work progress through design, configuration, testing, and commissioning & start-up.
•Assisting in the resolution of critical engineering issues.
•Working with EPFC partners on integration of their 3rd party control systems.
•Able to meet safety requirements to work on site.
Your Knowledge and Skills
•Ability to build strong relationships with the client’s automation team, information technology (IT) and the EPFC CSU team.
•Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation and piping engineers and designers.
•Strong working knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and industry standards.
•Strong communication skills
•Self-motivation, efficiency with time management and organizational skills
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
•Technical degree in engineering or applied science, or technical diploma in Industrial Automation and Controls.
•Ten plus (10+) years of progressive experience with the design and implementation of control systems in the oil and gas industry.
•Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Compact Logix and Flex5000 experience is desirable.
•Proven experience in control system architecture development for Allen-Bradley based systems.
•Proven experience in control system design and wiring drawing development inclusive of field wiring.
•Proven experience in the development of control system and third-party networks.
•In-depth understanding of device communication methods and collection of related data.
•Proven field execution leadership track record.
•Ability to build strong relationships with the client’s automation team, information technology (IT) and the EPFC CSU team.
•Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation and piping engineers and designers.
•Strong working knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and industry standards
•Self-motivation, efficiency with time management and organizational skills
•Experience using common industry completion management systems
