This role will provide strategic and tactical leadership over the accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements.
- Manage the full cycle of accounting activities, internal controls, and support financial planning and analysis efforts
- ·Oversee and ensure the integrity of the general ledger, month-end and year-end financial closings, and preparation of internal and external financial statements
- ·Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance
- ·Lead the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership
- ·Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, and job costing processes
- ·Maintain and enhance accounting systems and controls to ensure accurate job cost tracking and project profitability
- ·Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and support optimal cash management strategies
- ·Compliance and Audits
- Lead and mentor the accounting team; set goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development
- ·Evaluate, implement, and continuously improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures
- ·Ensure that adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets
- Inventory and COGS Management
- Lead the monthly close process related to inventory and COGS, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Analyze inventory transactions and product costs, ensuring proper valuation and alignment with company policies
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to drive performance improvements and cost efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, job cost accounting, and inventory costing
- 5-7 years experienced leader within the accounting field required
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- Ability to achieve operational excellence through others is imperative
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result orientation
- ·Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget required
- An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills required
