We provide lawn weed control and fertilizer applications along with pest, mosquito and termite control to residential, commercial and municipal customers. The Controller is responsible for the overall success and management of our financial activities including budgets, payroll and HR data. We are looking for an individual experienced in bookkeeping, accounting, budgeting and forecasting. Duties and responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll and human resources, budgeting, and extensive use of QuickBooks. Previous experience in payroll, accounts payable and accounting is a must.

Responsibilities

Partner with operations manager to update and maintain policies as necessary

Manage budget along with operations manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Assist in the onboarding process for new hires

Prepare bi-weekly payroll data(hours, commissions, PTO) for outsourced payroll service

Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and staff meetings

Skills

Proven experience in an accounting position

Proficiency in MS Excel and Word

Proficiency in Quickbooks Online

Familiarity with CRM software

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment

A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

High School degree; Bachelors Degree preferred
