CONTROLLER - 9370

We are seeking a detail-oriented, innovative and collaborative leader to join the MacLean Power Systems (“MPS”) Chateauguay team as the Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, strategic financial planning, internal controls, manufacturing cost accounting and local regulatory requirements. The position provides a unique opportunity to contribute in a fast-paced environment, with the expectation that this individual will be a cross-functional team player working alongside the general manager, operations, human resources, sales and corporate leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with operations and sales teams to develop robust and accurate annual budgets, as well as forecast income statement, balance sheet and cash flow figures on regular intervals.
Present monthly results and forecast details to executive leadership at both the division and corporate levels.
Oversee the controllership function to ensure accurate, complete and timely financial closes, including oversight of key financial processes.
Exercise continuous improvement initiatives to elevate cost accounting and inventory variance analysis.
Collaborate with the general manager and operations team to improve cost efficiency, productivity and financial visibility.
Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations.
Provide thoughtful and in-depth analysis to division and corporate leadership as requested.
Coach three direct reports that are on-site at the Chateauguay facility.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
CPA designation.
5+ years of progressive experience leading controllership teams in the manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Command of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with JDE and HFM is preferred.
Bilingual (French and English) oral and written required. Communication Canada and USA
