Contract Operator

We are a small, privately-owned oil and gas company seeking a Contract Operator to manage daily field operations just north of Halkirk, Alberta. Our production is primarily from pumpjacks, consolidated into one central oil battery and a small gas plant. We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting professional with hands-on oilfield experience.

Schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, half day run.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor oil wells and pumpjacks daily

- Oversee and maintain oil battery and small gas plant

- Perform basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed

- Record and report production data accurately

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

- Communicate with management and third-party service providers

Qualifications:

- Experience operating oil wells and oil batteries is required

- Mechanically inclined with knowledge of oilfield equipment

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

- Valid driver's license and reliable field vehicle

Preferred Assets:

- Experience operating or assisting with gas plants

- Knowledge of Alberta oilfield regulations and reporting

- Valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, etc.)

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
