Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Project Control Lead, you will be part of the Projects Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Lead the management of the Contract Life Cycle through the pre-award phase to the award milestone
- Coordinate with the team and propose the best contractual approach based on scope of works
- Manage service contracts that have supply component until mobilization to site
- Assemble RFP documentation, recommendation, evaluation the risk, quality, cost and delivery of the services
- Coordinate the bid evaluation process, clarification sessions, negotiation process working with Project Leads, Engineers, Construction professionals, Safety Coordinators and others
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with the Contractor for Commercial and contract related issues during the pre-award phase
- In conjunction with the Site Contracts Administrator, administer contracts and documentation relating to correspondence, review meetings, invoicing/payments, insurance, liability, potential claims/disputes
- In conjunction with the Project leaders, chair contract kick-off meetings with Contractors and participate in regular progress meetings.
- Manage the performance of contracted suppliers to ensure compliance to contract terms and conditions, SOW and HSE
- In conjunction with the Project Procurement Manager, ensure all contract documentation is up to date and filed in the appropriate electronic register and hard copy filing system
- Ensure that the contract log is updated and maintained for the contracts assigned to the individual Contract Administrator
- Attest/approve Contractor invoices against SOW and established procedures for supply components of service contracts until contractor mobilization
- Review processed Change Orders and ensure that Purchase orders are updated to reflect revised contract values
- Review areas of responsibility with a view to continuously improving systems and processes and minimizing costs wherever possible
- CSCMP Designation or current enrollment in the Program
- A background in contract law
- Formal Training in Canadian Competitive Bidding Law
- Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management
- 5-10 years’ experience in contract management (Pre-Award, RFP, Post-Award and Close-out)
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Preference for a working knowledge in SAP
- Understanding of contract law and procurement law
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine.
