Job Summary
This position plans and carries out broad assignments with responsibility for recommending changes in methods, procedures or policies. Incumbent conducts the development of each assignment, may coordinate manpower assigned to each activity, and assesses current and upcoming regulatory policy to determine the impact on the functional area.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
• Plan, schedule, manage and report the results of independent evaluations of station processes and programs to assure that requirements and expectations for performance are met. Perform the Independent Safety Engineering Group functions as required by station procedures and requirements.
• Plan, schedule, manage and report the results of independent evaluations of station processes and programs to assure that requirements and expectations for performance are met. Perform root cause investigation of significant events.
• Provide inspection, testing, and evaluation services for TXU. Perform source inspections at vendor shops. Perform receipt inspections of quality related purchases.
• Promote, monitor, and maintain the site human performance enhancement system. Develop materials for presentation at Human Performance day meetings. Investigate issues and events involving human performance.
• Promote, monitor, and maintain the self-assessment process. Develop, provide, and maintain self-assessment training. Review the status and adequacy of CPSES self-assessment activities on a regular basis and recommending improvements, if necessary, to station management.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or 10 years equivalent nuclear related work experience in area of technical expertise with 3 years nuclear audit experience.
•Qualified as an Audit Team Lead for NUPIC, NEI or NIEP
•Knowledge in nuclear-related activities which require knowledge of plant equipment, systems and processes
•Technical expertise within assigned discipline
•Understanding of regulations, codes, standards, policies and procedures pertinent to the area of assigned expertise.
