CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR
The Construction Supervisor oversees all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope. This role coordinates crews, schedules, materials, and compliance, while serving as a key link between field operations and project management. - Coordinates all construction services and activities
- Read, interpret and understand fiber construction maps
- Interact in a positive, professional manner with internal contacts
- Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of project procedures, schedule, cost controls and reporting
- Ability to develop and coach employees’ performance throughout the year to facilitate achievement of goals
- Prepares and reviews project plans, specifications, drawings, and assists with schedules to determine work phases and priorities
- Provides day to day direction to field activities including establishing manpower levels, employee relations and monitoring workmanship, materials conformity, and compliance to design documents
- Requisitions and coordinates movement of tools, materials, and equipment in accordance with procedures
- Complete and manage daily Inspector scheduling
- Maintains a daily job site log
- Effectively communicate with contractors any project needs or changes
- Effectively manage all levels of inspectors, contractors, and sub-contractors
- Provide guidance with engineered construction maps and assist in design change requests
- Coordinate scheduling and communication
- Act as a liaison to project management concerning bids, subcontracting, progress, and delays
- Reviews and approves time and expenses for field crew personnel
- Identifies potential changes to project scope and advises team of associated impacts
- Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures complying with legal regulations
- All other duties assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- 5+ years of Construction Management experience- Have a strong working knowledge of fiber splicing and reading/understanding Fiber Splicing Plans (FSP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Contemporary knowledge of regulations, industry trends, and technologies
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Physical activity for the role includes:
- Exposure to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- Sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, on variable terrain
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity for computer and other small equipment use
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
