Graviti Energy is seeking a skilled and dependable Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site execution of EV charging infrastructure projects across Texas. These projects typically include EV chargers, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The Superintendent will supervise all site activities, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery.
This position is based out of Houston, TX, with required travel to job sites throughout Texas. Per diem and travel allowances are provided, along with a company-issued cell phone and laptop.
· Lead daily construction activities at active job sites, overseeing site development, trenching, electrical, concrete, signage, and solar/BESS installations.
· Coordinate access control, staging, traffic routing, and pedestrian safety during all construction phases.
· Manage and support the integration of EV charging systems with co-located solar arrays and battery energy storage infrastructure.
· Review and enforce adherence to drawings, scopes, specifications, and NEC code requirements.
· Monitor trench depths, conduit runs, electrical panel installation, inverter mounting, battery enclosures, and bollard/signage placement.
· Ensure utility coordination and support energization and commissioning processes for EVSE, PV, and BESS systems.
· Direct subcontractors and field crews, ensuring compliance with project milestones and safety regulations.
· Act as the on-site liaison with utility companies, permitting authorities, third-party vendors, and internal project managers.
· Provide daily updates, site progress reports, and communicate any field changes, RFIs, or delays.
· Enforce OSHA, NFPA, and Graviti Energy’s environmental, health, and safety protocols on site.
· Implement and monitor Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and proper environmental controls.
· Conduct daily safety briefings, maintain clean work zones, and manage temporary fencing, signage, and protective barriers.
· Maintain daily logs of labor, materials, deliveries, equipment, and inspections.
· Track material submittals, field redlines, as-builts, punchlists, and change orders.
· Support QA/QC efforts during project closeout and turnover packages.
· 2+ years in construction supervision or field operations for infrastructure, energy, or electrical projects.
· Knowledge of NEC, sitework, trenching, conduit installation, concrete work, and utility connections.
· Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, one-lines, and technical drawings.
· Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and enforce on-site safety.
· Experience in EVSE, solar PV, or BESS installation projects.
· Willingness to travel across Texas for extended site support as needed.
· Per Diem and Travel Reimbursement for all out-of-town assignments.
· Flexible employment as W2 or 1099, depending on candidate preference and project assignment.
