WD Construction is a commercial general contractor based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Superintendent will be integral to this success by leading a project site team to oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish. The Project Superintendent will bring technical expertise, financial integrity, dedication to safety, and constructability solutions throughout the life cycle of the projects.
Duties
•Responsible for continuous field supervision at job sites, coordinating and completing projects in a timely and quality manner
•With the assistance of the Project Manager, prepare project schedules and maintain the schedule during the construction process. Prepare three-week look ahead schedules and review schedule updates with Project Manager
•Study specifications and plans to organize procedures for construction and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
•Manage any self-performed work done on a project, including teaching laborers construction skills and methods
•Utilize your craft skills to perform a specific task on a project, when needed.
•Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers at the site.
•Maintain daily job reports in PROCORE software
•Maintain a clean and orderly project site
•Participate in subcontractor and owner meetings as required
•Procure tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to meet work schedules
•Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, building codes, and the adherence to construction schedules
•Conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and safety inspections as outlined in the safety manual. Conducts a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) to determine correct safety procedures
Skills
•Knowledge of all aspects of ground up construction, building materials, plans, specifications, regulations and building codes.
•Ability to assess subcontractors’ performance and quality of work, making corrections as needed.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience with Procore construction management software, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
•Leadership ability, desire to mentor/coach superintendents, foremen and laborers
•Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
