Local Hire
The Site Manager will be the key person supervising the day to day operations of company work in the refinery.
Safety
•Lead weekly safety meeting.
•Assure that all site staff have met their code of safe practices requirements.
•Frequently audit the job site to assure adherence to the IIPP.
•Attend and participate in the SWAT meetings.
•Promote a positive attitude towards safety. Always stress that safety is our Core Value.
•Assure that Hazard Analysis' are being completed correctly and track each foreman’s performance in this area.
•Assure that toolbox safety meetings are being held daily for each crew.
•Actively participate in the Contractor’s Safety Forum.
•Review all Job Hazard Analysis and SWAT cards and make corrective actions as required.
•Manage all accidents with the help of the Safety Tech to first address the employee’s health and second, avoid a recordable injury.
Human Resources
•Communicate with H/R on all dispatching and terminations per H/R standard procedures.
•Assure that all regular routine maintenance and small project staff are evaluated yearly and in the event of a termination or discipline.
•Organize the orientation and badging of all site personnel.
•Handle all disciplinary actions for onsite staff.
•Evaluate Foreman yearly.
•Coordinate all random drug tests.
Execution
•Communicate with client contacts and assign workforce as needed to best execute the work.
•Monitor the progress of the work and make corrections as necessary.
•Assure that the General Foremen are properly prepared to execute the work.
•Support the General Foremen during execution of the work.
•Frequently audit the job site for productivity.
Client Relations
•Visit the client contacts regularly for input on performance.
•Maintain a proactive approach to problem solving (be the first to identify potential problems and suggest solutions).
•Aggressively pursue solutions to areas in need of improvement.
•Represent the Company in a professional manner.
•Assure that all contractual obligations are being met and all goals are being exceeded.
Tools and Consumables
•Assure that the toolroom is being run efficiently.
•Order tools and consumables per our maintenance contract.
•Track the purchase of tools and consumables and assure that we remain under the budget as set by the General Manager.
•Assure that Nomex are being issued properly and they are in good condition.
•Provide reports on tool, consumables and Nomex inventory to the General Manager on a monthly basis.
•Monitor the proper use of tools and consumables by the maintenance staff and correct any deviations.
•Assure that tools are inspected per our IIPP and maintained I discarded of as required.
Callouts
•Develop schedule for callout foremen.
•Assign callout crew’s on a weekly basis.
•Act as the primary contact for all callouts.
•Prepare callout book for callout foreman.
•Maintain callout records.
Vehicles
•Coordinate company-owned vehicle usage.
•Schedule all maintenance and address all repairs.
•Track fuel, maintenance and repairs for on-site vehicles.
•Maintain all insurance and registration records for company-owned vehicles and personal / rig welder vehicle that enter the refinery.
•Maintain records of who is eligible to operate company-owned vehicles.
Billing
•Fill out all new job setup forms as required.
•Assure that all timesheets are completed correctly on time and signed by the client within 24 hrs.
•Work with the Home office to resolve billing discrepancies.
•Assure that all billing is done in accordance with the maintenance contract.
•Track all hours billed for budget purpose as defined by the General Manager.
•Assure that cash is collected in accordance with contract terms
Leadership
•Direct General Foremen and assure that they are meeting the requirements as defined in the Foreman job description.
•Facilitate recognition and reward program for routine maintenance and small project Foremen.
Quality Control
•Assure that all work is being performed in adherence to our Quality Control manual.
•Frequently audit completed jobs to assure compliance.
•Assist and support Quality Control lead on all Quality issues.
•Address quality issues and take appropriate actions to eliminate future occurrences.
Training
•Maintain training database for all onsite staff.
•Assure that all onsite staff are trained for the job they are performing /
•equipment they are operating.
•Develop career paths for all direct reports / General Foremen and train a person to backfill your position.
•Facilitate a cross training program to assure a well rounded workforce capable of performing any of our core maintenance functions. (Flange work, pipefitting, steam tracing, insulation, scaffolding, column /tray work).
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
