Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to take charge of high-profile, large-scale construction projects and oversee field operations at ICON National. This leadership role requires an expert-level understanding of construction management, safety, and quality assurance. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for guiding and mentoring project teams, ensuring optimal execution of project plans, and driving efficiency, profitability, and compliance. This position plays a key role in shaping company-wide construction practices and influencing future project strategies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently, while ensuring a welcoming and professional work environment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responisbilities
•Lead and oversee multiple projects or highly complex construction operations, ensuring all project goals are met.
•Develop and implement project execution strategies, including schedules, budgets, and logistics plans.
•Provide leadership and mentorship to Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents, ensuring professional growth and skill development.
•Serve as a primary representative of ICON National in client meetings, negotiations, and project planning sessions.
•Ensure strict adherence to contract documents, building codes, and industry regulations.
•Monitor and enforce safety protocols across all job sites, conducting audits and providing corrective actions as needed.
•Oversee cost control and financial management of projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize project success.
•Resolve complex site issues, including unforeseen conditions, trade conflicts, and design challenges.
•Drive process improvements within the field team, implementing best practices and lessons learned from past projects.
•Lead project close-out efforts, ensuring quality completion, punch list resolution, and seamless transition to facility operations.
•Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the business.
Qualifications
•Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction management, with proven leadership in large-scale projects.
•Extensive experience leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•Expert knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
•Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
•Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
