Construction Laborer

About This Job

Responsibilities

•

Assist tradesmen and machine operators in house elevation or relocation projects

•

Unload and carry heavy materials at construction sites

•

Prepare structures for elevation from foundation (e.g. disconnecting plumbing, prepping foundations, digging underneath the structure, etc.)

•

Loading and unloading equipment and supplies from trucks and trailers

•

Clean out site from debris and discarded materials

Skills

•

Proven experience as construction-type worker

•

Experience in operating equipment like skid steers etc.

•

Knowledge of basic construction principles and methods

•

Able to work in a team

•

Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination

•

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Schedule

•

Regular hours are from 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday - may be more or less depending on the job schedule and weather

•

Earlier starts or later time of return to yard required depending on travel time to the work site

•

Weekends or overnight travel required for some jobs

Compensation

•

Starting pay depends on prior experience and knowledge of the industry

•

Higher pay offered for CDL applicants

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per week

Schedule:

Day shift

•

Weekends as needed
