The Construction Laborer will support HVAC and Plumbing field operations by assisting installers, technicians, and supervisors on residential and commercial projects. This position is vital to ensuring job sites are clean, organized, and ready for efficient project execution. This is a Monday - Friday role.
The Construction Labor role includes but is not limited to:
•Assist HVAC and Plumbing crews with installation, demolition, and material handling.
•Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
•Set up and tear down job sites including protection of finished surfaces, staging of materials, and clean-up.
•Maintain job site cleanliness to ensure safety and efficiency.
•Perform basic tasks like cutting pipes, assembling ductwork, insulating lines, and installing supports under supervision.
•Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely.
•Support field teams with physical labor tasks such as digging trenches, lifting heavy materials, and general site preparation.
•Follow all company safety policies and procedures and wearing proper PPE at all times.
•Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and coordinators.
•Assist with inventory counts, warehouse organization, and vehicle loading as needed.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•Prior construction, mechanical, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
•Good attendance and promptness.
•Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn HVAC and plumbing systems.
•The ability to lift 75 pounds frequently and work on ladders or in tight spaces.
•Reliable transportation to shop and job sites.
•Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
•Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction techniques a plus.
•Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and job-site environments.
•Must have a good driving record and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
•Authorized to work in the US.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires interaction with people in an outside environment or at job sites. Primary responsibilities require bending, stretching, reaching, and dexterity with hands to grasp, hold, or move objects in addition to occasional driving on roadways/freeways if requested. Must have the ability to determine distances and use muscles to occasionally lift, push, pull or carry objects. Must be able to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
