We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Administrative Assistant to support our construction operations at the Hyperion site office in Playa Del Rey, CA. This role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth administrative processes, particularly around union dispatching and prevailing wage compliance. You will work directly with the on-site Construction Manager to coordinate paperwork, document control, and site reporting.
- Assist in daily administrative operations of the Hyperion construction site office.
- Prepare, track, and organize paperwork related to union dispatches.
- Maintain accurate records of timekeeping and labor classifications to support prevailing wage compliance.
- Communicate with union representatives as needed for dispatch requests and verification.
- Support the Construction Manager with filing, scheduling, and internal communications.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to project stakeholders.
- Help ensure compliance with site-specific requirements, safety documentation, and labor reporting standards.
- Organize and maintain jobsite records, personnel files, and project logs.
- Assist with invoice coding, purchase order tracking, and timecard reviews as required.
- Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a construction administration or site coordination role.- Working knowledge of union dispatch procedures and prevailing wage requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced jobsite environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience working on public works projects or municipal utility job sites.
- Familiarity with certified payroll, labor compliance software, or construction ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a construction site office environment.
- Occasional walking around active job site with appropriate PPE.
