The Administrative Assistant works in a busy office environment and must efficiently multitask between various assignments. This position plays a key role in the coordination and distribution of work. The Administrative Assistant will support the DOT Compliance Supervisor in ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.

- General office/administrative responsibilities:
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and retention
- Provide general administrative support for field and office personnel
- Receive, sort, and disperse mail
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, phone systems, and computers
- Answer phones, provide basic information and transfer callers as appropriate
- DOT compliance responsibilities:
- Ensure Driver’s qualification files are complete
- Assist DOT Compliance Supervisor with investigation of roadside inspections
- Handle various accounting tasks such as billing for drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment screening
- Generate and monitor Motor Vehicle Records for DOT-covered individuals
- Assist DOT Compliance Supervisor in responding to HOS Drug & Alcohol, DVIR/EVIR or commercial questions
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
- Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of general administrative experience
- Previous experience in DOT compliance, fleet administration, drug & alcohol programs (drug & alcohol pool management; acting as DER, etc) - preferred
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards/payroll system module
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of applicable DOT regulations - Federal Motor Carrier rules & regulations
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while supporting management
- Self-starter with a good attitude

- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
