Compression & Controls - Journeyman Mechanic

- Consistently perform all duties in accordance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.

- Carry out field maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls on natural gas engines, compressors, and associated equipment at client sites throughout Alberta.

- Execute repairs and overhauls efficiently, meeting established timeframes and quality standards.

- Conduct preventative maintenance and warranty repairs, maintaining thorough and accurate service records for all work performed.

- Collaborate closely with the Surepoint team to ensure repair strategies align with customer expectations and quotes.

- Provide mentorship to apprentices and lead safety initiatives, including conducting Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).

- Travel to remote locations as needed, work in camps or hotels, and participate in after-hours emergency support when required.

What You Bring to the Team:

- Journeyperson certification in Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, or Natural Gas Compression Technician.

- At least 5 years of field service experience, demonstrating advanced skills in troubleshooting and repairing natural gas equipment.

- Comprehensive understanding of engine, generator, and compressor operations and performance; familiarity with Arial, Waukesha, and Caterpillar equipment is an asset.

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

- Current safety certifications— CSO, H2S Alive.

- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, safety, integrity, and mentoring others.

- Self-driven and detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
