Compliance Administrator
The Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring that legislative and company standards are being met for compliance with health, safety, and environmental operations. Under the direction of the HSE Manager, the Administrator will work closely with department Managers and Superintendents while assisting with safety related administrative tasks, as well as attend team meetings and other meetings as required.
Primary Responsibilities
•Collect and file reports from job site inspections, worker observations and shop/work site safety inspections
•Participate in reporting from Incident Investigations, near misses, and hazardous conditions. Complete investigation reports to develop cause analysis, and implement and follow up on corrective actions
•Support incident owners to ensure accident and incident investigations are conducted and events reported in a timely manner. Ensure all required investigation documentation is provided and collected in a clear manner for reporting. When required, travel to incident location sites for investigation. Performs Root Cause Analysis, Action Plans, and Communication from Events.
•Attend pre-job planning meetings, safety meetings, and HSE team meetings. Record notes, and file meeting records.
•Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee preparation. Respond to meeting notes with Action Plan and Feedback with employees
•Attend annual company wide safety meeting. Prepare topics of discussion, record notes, and file meeting records.
•Review and create safe operating procedures, ensuring they are compliant with OHS and Client Standards
•Collect safety statistics from jobs, including; site inspections, submitted FLHAs and Hazard IDs/Positive Observations/Near misses, and Incident Reports
•Participate in Annual COR audits
•Daily, monthly and quarterly documentation to support company wide safety statistics
•Review and create Formal Job Hazard Assessments for each position at the company and perform updates as conditions and processes change.
•Maintain a working knowledge of current legislation and laws, and well as company standards
•Provide mentoring to workers and leaders in maintaining safe work habits and practices
•Maintain HSE Manual, and provide updates when necessary, based on legislation, laws or client requirements. Perform annual reviews
•Manage and maintain online safety programs, uploading certificates, documents and bulletins.
•Participate in providing training material to new hired employees
•Track employee training competencies, and new hire records for compliance
•File Equipment maintenance and inspections in digital and physical folders; tracking hour intervals for recorded maintenance records
•Assist with coverall ordering for employees, and track issued coveralls
•Ensure stock is kept for employee tool kits, and applicable safety items
•Prepare forms and documents to support the Onboarding, Orientation and Operating System of Company
•Adhere to Torrent Fluid Solutions’ policies and procedures
•Performs other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
•Advanced computer skills with Microsoft basic suite of programs – eg. Outlook, Excel, Word
•Skills with Adobe Creative Cloud programs are encouraged – eg: InDesign
•Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
•Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and fully complete tasks

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
