SUMMARY
The Commissioning Associate Intern is responsible for supporting the commissioning and execution of Mitsubishi gas and steam turbines while under the direction of the Commissioning and Execution Team. Typical activities include reviewing and revising procedures as necessary for specific tasks, involvement with the planning of upcoming projects, coordinating efforts between commissioning and engineering to provide lessons learned feedback, helping with schedule creation and tracking. This position is intended for candidates who are pursuing an engineering degree and have a desire to work in an excited and thriving energy industry!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Always follows Mitsubishi Power and site safety requirements.
•Under the direction of the commissioning and execution team, executes daily assigned tasks to support the commissioning and execution of upcoming and ongoing projects.
•Manage high-volume correspondence (emails, chat, phone) across all levels of the organization with the highest degree of integrity, accuracy, timeliness, and empathy.
•Familiarization of scheduling and processes involved with the commissioning and execution of a project.
•Design engaging training programs using a variety of instructional techniques, including classroom instruction, e-learning modules, and multimedia presentations.
•Learn to read and understand various drawings and diagrams as related to gas or steam turbines.
•Work cross functionally with other departments and organizations to help streamline required changes.
•Familiarization with the goal of having a good understanding of thermodynamic principles related to Combined Cycle Power Plant.
•Support with the Completion of documentation, test certificates and drawings for site turnover.

•Education and/or Experience: This position requires being enrolled in a college or university program in Engineering, other degrees may be considered based on their experience and background.
•Language Skills: English, Secondary language of Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese helpful.
•Mathematical Skills: Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving.
•Reasoning Ability: Good ability to analyze problems of either machine related or computer-generated data at site and have the ability to communicate in a clear manner to engineering.
•Computer Skills: Use of office software packages and analytical tools.
