Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

to join our team as a Commercial QA/QC Technician! In this role, you will serve as a local on-site program and company representative to commercial customers. You’ll be responsible for conducting energy efficiency HVAC Maintenance Tune-Ups, pre- and post-installation verifications, and other technical inspections across a defined territory.

Successful candidates will reside in McAllen Texas for frequent travel within the territory. Company vehicle is provided

For this exciting career opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

- Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of commercial energy efficiency upgrades to HVAC systems, lighting systems, and other mechanical installations

- Perform pre- and post-installation inspections to verify proper implementation and performance of energy-saving measures

- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to perform inspections, with frequent overnight travel

- Evaluate HVAC Tune-Ups and other system upgrades for compliance, performance, and safety

- Inspect lighting systems and other mechanical components with a focus on technical aptitude and safety standards

- Provide detailed feedback and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness

- Operate and manipulate mechanical HVAC equipment to enable functional testing with technical equipment

- Accurately take airflow measurements on HVAC systems

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certification/training preferred.

- 1-3 years of HVAC or equivalent mechanical experience, with familiarity in lighting systems, controls, and energy efficiency technologies

- EPA Type-Universal certification preferred but not required

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assess a variety of systems

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software platforms

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

Physical Nature of the Job

- Ability to work in all climates and commercial environments.

- Ability to safely use and climb extension ladders up to 24'

- Sit, stand, walk, crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently

- Use repetitive hand motion and lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds regularly

Type of Work

- This is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing commercial customers in McAllen, Laredo, Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas.

Driving (Company Vehicle Provided)

- Are at least 21 years of age

- Valid driver's license

Targeted Compensation

$50,000-$55,000 / USD Annually

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
