Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving environments, including but not limited to refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong focus on customer service and timely deliveries is essential.

Responsibilities

- Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and flatbeds.

- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.

- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with all regulations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.

- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

Requirements

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.

- Proven experience in truck driving.

- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other commercial driving equipment.

- Experience as a delivery driver is preferred.

- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus.

- Strong understanding of route driving principles and safety regulations.

- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 72 per week
