Commercial Driver's License Driver - Part Time

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving capacities, the driver will be familiar with driving dually/gooseneck combo. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering freight to our customers on time.

Duties

- Operate commercial vehicles.

- Drive routes safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.

- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle inspections.

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.

- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicle operations.

- Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries and address any route changes or challenges.

- Follow all safety protocols while operating forklifts or other equipment as needed.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.

- Proven experience in truck driving.

- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and delivery driver experience is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of route driving practices and logistics management.

- Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $0.48 - $0.63 per mile

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
