Commercial Driver's License Driver - Class A

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting heavy equipment rentals, such as but not limited to, forklifts, manlifts, multiple items, etc. . This role requires experience in operating different types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, etc.. The Commercial Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service. Must pass background check, drug and alcohol test and have a clean driving record.

Duties

- Operate commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

- Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations efficiently and safely.

- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel use, and any incidents or delays.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road.

- Utilize forklifts or roll-off trucks as needed for loading and unloading tasks.

Skills

- Strong truck driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

- Previous delivery driver experience is preferred.

- Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading freight.

- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.

- Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery efficiency.
