Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our team. Position is 100% local. This position involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, belt trailers and end dumps, to transport goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and be familiar with load and unload procedures. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.

- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to designated routes.

- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.

- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.

- Utilize manual transmission when necessary for specific vehicle operations.

Experience

- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license.

- Familiarity with various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.

- Experience in delivery driving with a strong understanding of freight handling procedures.

- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo is a plus.

- Knowledge of route planning and navigation skills to optimize delivery efficiency.
