We are currently looking for a Commercial Analyst I/II/Sr for our Houston, TX office.

Position Description

- Designing and developing user-centric Power Bl reports and dashboards to meet Boardwalk Pipelines commercial stakeholders' needs

- Utilizing DAX formulas to create calculated measures, columns, and tables for complex calculations and data manipulation

- Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis of commercial activities, imbalances, and revenue generation

- Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and/or transform commercial transactional data for reporting and/or competitive analysis

- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in PowerBI reports

- Providing training and support to the pipeline commercial team on using PowerBI

- Documenting data sources, data transformations, and report logic for future reference

- Support Commercial Team in response to regulatory audits and/or rate case support

- Use of third-party data and analysis tools to provide competitor analysis and assess customer market share

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

- Proficiency in PowerBI development, including report and dashboard creation

- Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts

- Exposure to Tabular Editor to enhance efficiency of PowerBI calculated measures, columns, and tables

- Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction / database management

- Excellent attention to detail

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

- Adaptability to changing business requirements

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

- 2 to 5+ years’ experience in data analytics

- 1 to 2 years of natural gas commercial and/or financial data manipulation and analysis

- Expertise in DAX and Power Query M language

- Expertise in Tabular Editor to enhance efficiency of PowerBI calculated measures, columns, and tables

- Proficiency in Python

Required Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS, Engineering or related field
