We are seeking a skilled Cold Forge Steel Operator to operate and maintain cold forging equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel in a forging environment, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in all operations. This role is essential to meeting production targets while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
· Maintain safe and proper working conditions in all areas
· Running a ring crusher to break down the incoming steel and iron for further processing
· Loading totes into an MCD furnace watching temperatures and material as it is processed
· Run material through the SP Mills until desired roundness is met and then processing through a screener by size
· Loading toes of material with forklift to process materials for different sizes, filling drums and toes of material to be used for finished product
· Dispose of unwanted materials in appropriate containers
· Transfer sacks of dust from dust collection
· Document production output, material usage, and quality control results.
· Previous Manufacturing experience, preferably in steel industry
· Must be tolerant of cold weather and high heat/humidity working conditions
· Must be able to withstand a minimum height of 15 feet above the ground
