Description:
Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, performing a standard series of progressive machining operations to close and exacting tolerances.
PAID WEEKLY!
1st Shift - 6am - 4pm (Monday - Thursday)
2nd Shift - 4pm - 2am (Monday - Thursday) Shift Premium $2.50/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Operates CNC and other machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups made and maintained by others
•Working from detailed process instructions
•Drilling, boring, milling, turning and balancing, as required
•Operate pneumatic hand sanders and files, portable and pedestal grinders to remove fins, gates, risers, rough spots, excess flash, etc. from castings of various shapes and sizes to conform with finishing requirements
•Using precision measuring instruments or limit gauges to check machine positioning
•Inspecting your own work for quality
•Meeting rate for each part, while maintaining quality
•Maintaining a clean work environment
•Taking responsibility for equipment care and basic maintenance
•Assisting other operators as needed
•Recognizing own capabilities and taking initiative to continually improve
•Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must have a high school diploma or GED
•Must have at least 6 months previous manufacturing experience
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
•Must be fluent using a computer
•Must have reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Machining fundamentals and basic operation skills
•Print reading and measuring procedures
•Ability to work individually or as part of a team
•Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
•Must be able to read gauges
•Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection
•Must be able to read and understand English language
•Must be able to use basic math skills
•Must be able to stand 10-12 hours a day
•Must be able to work in a hot environment up to 120 degrees
