The Construction & Maintenance (C&M) Planner is a multifaceted role with a wide range of responsibilities including planning work for six construction and maintenance (C&M) crews, supervising the C&M Floating Welder, Budget Liaison, and developing strategies to continue to grow and improve C&M. C&M work is very diverse and includes excavation and repair of buried pipelines and fabrication of piping for Marathon facilities. The position also requires the commitment to support various Marathon Pipe Line processes and encourage continuous improvement and managing risk for incident prevention.
Oversees project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for six construction and maintenance (C&M) crews Collaborate with L3S Project Leaders, C&M Operations Supervisors, Operating Areas, and MPL Field Services and Planning (FSP) to ensure proper scheduling and resourcing of C&M projects Supervises C&M Floating Welder which includes planning work and giving direction for projects being worked on Serve as the C&M Budget Liaison which includes maintain C&M’s O&GE and project budget, tracking crew costs/savings and identify opportunities for improvements, and plan for the MPL Budget Meeting Update C&M’s Power BI schedule with new projects or project changes Estimate projects based on specific criteria Facilitate emergency responses and represent C&M in repair team meetings Schedule and lead constructability reviews Pursue new project types and identify opportunities to grow and improve C&M Owner of C&M Scorecard to capture and report out on crew data throughout the year
