Class-A CDL Semi-Truck Driver

Northern Steel Services in Montrose, MI is currently seeking a Class-A CDL Semi-Truck Driver to join our team. We primarily haul, but not limited to, structural support steel by way of Flatbeds, Step Decks and Conestogas. Our management team has been working together for many years and are highly involved in the growth and development of our employees.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

· Ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and be a team player.

· Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness.

· Professionally and efficiently transport finished products to customers.

· Follow appropriate standard operating procedures and operate all equipment in a safe manner.

· Understand basic forklift operating capabilities.

· Competent in the inspection and general maintenance of all required equipment.

· Assist in the packaging, loading, securing, and unloading of materials on all required equipment:

o Semi-tractor with flatbed, step deck and Conestoga.

o Pickup truck with gooseneck trailer.

· Capable of hauling oversized loads within the limitations of the permit.

-Ability to pass a drug screen

Education and/or Experience:

· High School Diploma, or equivalent.

· Class-A CDL combination with air brake endorsement.

· Experience hauling a flatbed is preferred.
