Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including flatbed trucks, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties

•

Safely operate a variety of trucks including flatbed, dump truck, roll-off truck, and refrigerated trailer.

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

•

Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.

•

Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts when required.

•

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation.

•

Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transportation.

•

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.

Skills

•

MUST HAVE CLASS A CDL FOR 2 YEARS

•

Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.

•

Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving including ELD

•

Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

•

Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

•

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.

•

Responsibilities may include Shop work

•

Driver must be knowledgeable about equipment and must be expert in handling their equipment.

•

Comfortable lifting heavy items range from 50 pounds or heavier.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
