Position: Civil Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil design solutions across a broad range of industries, including Oil & Gas, process and telecommunications facilities, as well as corporate, industrial, and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to design civil infrastructure for both new and existing projects.
•Prepare detailed designs for site development, including site layouts, grading, earthworks, drainage, roads, fencing, utility tie-ins, and foundation systems (deep and shallow) for industrial structures.
•Perform civil engineering analysis, prepare specifications, material take-offs, scopes of work, and engineering/construction work packages.
•Produce and review Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and engineering design reports.
•Coordinate with various engineering disciplines, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
•Provide engineering support during the construction phase, including site visits for field inspections, measurements, assessments, and troubleshooting.
•Oversee preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
•Review and evaluate designs and drawings from consultants and third-party vendors.
•Contribute to the development and standardization of calculation templates and project documentation to enhance team efficiency.
•Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
•Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering design, with at least 4 years of relevant experience within Canada.
•Solid experience in designing earthworks and concrete structures.
•Knowledge of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control is an asset.
•Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and structural design software.
•Strong understanding of Canadian codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
•Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a drive for continuous improvement.
•Ability to manage priorities under pressure and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
•Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and review technical reports.
•Registered/eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the APEGA or with another Canadian province.
•Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
•Legally eligible to work in Canada.
