Laborer and Operator Trainee (Colorado Springs)

633 Construction, a growing excavation company based in Colorado Springs, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to gain valuable experience in the excavation industry while contributing to a variety of exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

•

Perform underground utility installation (water, storm, and sewer line)

•

Occasionally Participate in equipment operation under the supervision of experienced professionals.

•

Assist with core excavation tasks, including trenching, foundation digging, grade checking, and backfilling.

•

Perform essential labor duties such as material handling, site clean-up, and equipment maintenance (washing, greasing).

•

May involve travel within Colorado to different project sites. While primarily located in Colorado Springs, some projects may rarely require travel with paid overnight lodging and per diem.

•

Uphold a clean and safe work environment in accordance with all safety protocols.

•

Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and a positive, professional attitude.

Qualifications:

•

Prior experience in excavation and utility installation is strongly preferred.

•

Prior experience operating heavy equipment is not required, but is beneficial. Strong emphasis is placed on good character and eagerness to learn.

•

Willing to work a varying schedule with hours on a part time basis.

•

Minimum of 18 years old.

•

Valid Colorado Driver's License.

•

Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.

•

Strong work ethic, dependable character, and a team player with excellent communication skills.

•

Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor tasks.

•

Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a fast-paced environment.
