Laborer and Operator Trainee (Colorado Springs)
633 Construction, a growing excavation company based in Colorado Springs, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to gain valuable experience in the excavation industry while contributing to a variety of exciting projects.
Responsibilities:
•Perform underground utility installation (water, storm, and sewer line)
•Occasionally Participate in equipment operation under the supervision of experienced professionals.
•Assist with core excavation tasks, including trenching, foundation digging, grade checking, and backfilling.
•Perform essential labor duties such as material handling, site clean-up, and equipment maintenance (washing, greasing).
•May involve travel within Colorado to different project sites. While primarily located in Colorado Springs, some projects may rarely require travel with paid overnight lodging and per diem.
•Uphold a clean and safe work environment in accordance with all safety protocols.
•Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and a positive, professional attitude.
Qualifications:
•Prior experience in excavation and utility installation is strongly preferred.
•Prior experience operating heavy equipment is not required, but is beneficial. Strong emphasis is placed on good character and eagerness to learn.
•Willing to work a varying schedule with hours on a part time basis.
•Minimum of 18 years old.
•Valid Colorado Driver's License.
•Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
•Strong work ethic, dependable character, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
•Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor tasks.
•Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a fast-paced environment.
