Conger LP Gas is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive the financial strategy of our organization. We're searching for an experienced CFO to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued growth and success. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company's future by providing insightful financial analysis, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a proven track record in forecasting, revenue management, and accounting. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.

Conger LP Gas, Inc. is an independent propane provider in South Georgia and North Florida with five locations across the region serving more than 40 counties. Founded in 1989, the company is also a full appliance dealer and is constantly innovating our practices within the propane industry.

Duties

•

Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

•

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across all five Conger LP Gas locations.

•

Conduct thorough financial analysis on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

•

Prepare detailed financial reports for board of directors members and stakeholders, providing insights into profit/loss and revenue management at monthly board meetings.

•

Manage tax accounting processes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

•

Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

•

Work in concert with outside auditor in completing yearly audited financial statements.

•

Be the company liaison with financial institutions.

•

Assist in making changes to financial software.

•

Lead and supervise the finance team in optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Experience

•

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; an advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.

•

Five or more years of experience in accounting.

•

Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles.

•

Expertise in forecast modeling and financial report writing.

•

Demonstrated ability to manage profit loss statements effectively.

•

Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on financial analysis and strategic planning.

•

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to employees, board of directors members, and shareholders.

* This position will be located at the Conger LP Gas Tifton headquarters, and the candidate will need to be in the office daily. The job may involve limited travel, typically less than 150 miles.
