6 month Assignment (Temp to hire)
Looking for a Chemistry Lab Tech who can assist with efficiently and greater quality meet the activities at the laboratory, meet operational needs (increased demand for projects, research, and services), need for new technical or scientific skills, expand innovation capabilities, and incorporate new ideas and perspectives into the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Trains and becomes familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
•Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties.
•Performs duties to conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.
•Learns to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment.
•Learns to document test data for reporting purposes.
•Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
•1+ years Chemistry Lab Tech experience
•High School diploma w/ 1 year of College Chemistry
•Scientific curiosity and a desire to learn continuously.
•Ability to follow procedures precisely
•Follow technical protocols rigorously.
•Write technical reports, record data and communicate results clearly.
•Basic knowledge of laboratory safety
•Essential to maintain the laboratory routine and meet testing deadlines.
•Know how to deal with PPE and chemical risks
•Strong Attention to detail and technical skills.
•Organization and responsibility with deadlines and procedures.
•Teamwork and good communication (verbal & written) with colleagues and supervisors.
•Proactive in suggesting improvements or solving problems.
•Adaptability to changes in routine or priorities.
•Punctuality and commitment
•Candidate must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
•Must pass pre-employment Drug, Alcohol, Physical, and Background Check
SHIFT
•Rotation 10 days on/ 4 day off
•Day shift and night shift
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $19.00 per hour
