Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking to hire a Chemist at our Additive Manufacturing Testing Laboratory located in Danville, Va.

Primary Job Responsibilities
The primary job function is to perform chemical compositional analyses of numerous materials from various industries utilizing instrumentation including but not limited to ICP-OES, C-S Analyzer and N-O-H Analyzer. Prepare reagents, prep samples consisting of complex matrixes (products), and solid materials and analyzing according to published methods. Danville Facility is also performing powder testing, utilizing laser particle analyzer and tapped/apparent density units
•Work effectively, under minimum direction, in a team environment delivering test results in sample hold time and on time.
•Acid digestion of various metals and materials to identify the chemical composition and best match to industry standard
•Create beneficial customer relationship through accurate and timely communication
•Maintenance of equipment, routine, and non-routine.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or relevant field
•Excellent mathematical skills
•Minimum 2-years of Experience in ICP-OES, C-S and N-O-H Analyzers.
•A self-directed mindset with the ability to work under minimal supervision is critical to this position
•Able to effectively communicate questions and differences between common problems and unique situations
•Ability to organize work and to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently to meet deadlines is essential to this position
•Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
•Work well in group solving situations
Working Conditions
•Work will be performed primarily in Danville Laboratory.
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing the job responsibilities. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
