Founded in 2014, Sunvapor is a leading solar process heat and desalination company. Sunvapor has developed solar steam, energy storage, and desalination technologies with several awards from the US Department of Energy. Sunvapor is headquartered in Pasadena, CA and has operations in California and New Mexico. Sunvapor designed, built, and operated the country’s only two active industrial solar steam generation facilities – one for pasteurization, and another for biofuels production. Sunvapor was awarded a prestigious Solar Desalination Finalist Prize from the US Department of Energy for its patented hybrid desalination process, and is under contract with the state of New Mexico to build and test a pilot facility in the Permian Basin.
